Last year’s NSW Time Attack Champion Paul McKinnon is predicting fast lap times and tough competition when NSW Time Attack returns to Wakefield Park next weekend, 13-14 June. In last year’s event McKinnon drove the Porsche 944 Turbo to a delightfully fast 58.5s lap time.

In worrying news for McKinnon’s opposition, he has revealed that the Porsche has been further developed since last year.

For this year’s event, we have a new motor, and we’ve been doing a lot of testing on the dyno to try and get the power delivery to a range that is comfortable,” McKinnon said.

“We’ve also made a lot of improvements to the chassis and we’ve been working hard to develop the spring and shock package as well, so the handling is significantly better than it was before”.

Just how quick will the Porsche be? Only time will tell. However, to get an idea of what 58.5s around Wakefield Feels like, ride onboard with Paul at least years event here:
