The Porsche 944 Challenge his Phillip Island this weekend for the first round of their 2015 season. Racing is always tight in this series with any driver able to take a shot at victory. Just take a look at this onboard footage with Tim Petrusic from the fourth round of the 2014 season.
While sitting in seventh place on the opening lap contact occurs just in front of Petrusic. Taking avoiding action he heads for the grass, an option that at any other time would have seen him avoid contact. Unfortunately, the wet grass does nothing to aid Petrusic’s plight and instead he sails into the tyre embankment.
The perils of racing.
7TH PLACE ON THE OPENING LAP, THINGS ARN’T GOING TOO BADLY.
A BIT OF TOUCHING AHEAD, STANDARD MOTORSPORT REALLY.
NOT THE VIEW YOU WANT ON THE FIRST LAP OF A RACE
THOUGH, THIS ONE IS PROBABLY WORSE
YUP, DEFINITELY WORSE
